"World Wide Wrappers is a key destination if
you're in the mood for something as healthful as it is tasty. Everything
tastes fresh and seems as light and crisp as a salad on a hot day. The
wraps are offered in your choice of regular, wheat, spinach and herb,
tomato and basil, or jalapeño and cilantro tortillas, and they
are all excellent. The Caribbean in particular is fresh and delicious.
The mango salsa adds a bite that is somehow spicy and cool at the same
time, and the Jasmine rice nicely complements the kick. The vegetables
in the Caribbean weren't "limp, wimpy broccoli," as my friend put it.
The smoothies were fruity and sweet with the optional "booster"
ingredients and powdered vitamins. They consisted simply of fruit,
juice, and frozen yogurt. . . World Wide Wrappers has a walk-up counter
and everything is made while you watch. The smoothies take a couple
minutes, but are well worth the wait."

"Good - and good for you.
Think of a huge California roll. That's what World Wide Wrappers serves
up, filling designer tortillas with multicultural ingredients. Voila! A
gourmet wrap or high-rent burrito, if you will. We're here to testify:
They're delicious. Actually, healthy and delicious. And a bargain for
the amount of wrap you get, which, by the way, keeps fine in the
refrigerator if you can't finish the gigantic burrito that ate Fourth
Avenue. We had the Caribbean chicken wrap with a warmed, low-fat tomato
and basil tortilla. Inside the reddish wrapping was grilled white-meat
chicken (bite-size chunks), jasmine rice, garlic yogurt sauce, fresh
mango salsa, lettuce, tomato, and mild cheddar-jack cheese. Light,
delightful. An even cheaper way to go is the vegetarian wrap. The Bombay
veggie wrap was a fat roll of jasmine rice, curried and lightly cooked
vegetables, black or pinto beans (the black are dynamite), garlic yogurt
sauce, and ginger slaw all tucked away in a spinach and herb tortilla.
Stronger spiced than the Caribbean, this was one we'd come back for
again. . . Lots of versions of wraps, smoothies, and juices are
available, or you can even compose your own. Even during the busiest
times (like noon), the service is pleasant, helpful, and
competent.
